Life...what is it

It is a very strange feeling to sit down and figure out the answer of probably the most important question that we will ever face.......What is Life? How do you define Living? What are the parameters on which you can access the quality of Life?
I am 25 right now, and i am sure by the time i will be 50, the answers to the above questions would have changed completely, and that is what is most interesting part.
There are more than 6.5 billion human beings on this earth and by the time i post this article it would have increased by another 1 million. Out of this around 10% of the population is below 5 yrs of age, so it approximately leaves us with 6.2 billion people on this earth. If we were to do a survey and get the definition of life from all these people, i am sure there would be around 5 billion different answers. The reason i say around 5 billion is because from the age of 5 to 12 yrs....the definition pretty much remains the same (I guess puberty has something to do with the definition).
The whole idea of the above statistics is to emphasize the fact that there is no one definition of life....it is completely dependent on what we think, and what we do and what we believe in. We all need to make sure that we have our own yardstick to define the term 'LIFE'......The reason i say we should have our own yardstick is because it makes our life more in our control and which in turn makes us happier.......we all have what it takes to lead a happy and successful life....what we need is the the consciences to realize it......
